Grove House is a family-run guest house situated in Schull, County Cork Ireland. We have five beautiful rooms, all en-suite, overlooking Schull Harbour or Mount Gabriel.
An historic building, Grove House has previously hosted distinguished guests such as George Bernard Shaw, Jack Yeats and Edith Somerville. In keeping with the house’s history, we continue as an artistic hub today, with regular music recitals, art exhibitions and writers’ retreats.
Whether you’re here to write, sail or explore the stunning scenery, we do everything we can to make sure that you have a relaxing, comfortable stay. As a guest in Grove House nothing is ever too much trouble and we make sure that all individual requirements are looked after.

In winter, sit next to a roaring fire reading a selection of the available book collection – you can even read the guestbook entry from Mr G.B. Shaw, in 1904. In summer, why not sit outside with a glass of wine and leisurely watch the boats go by? Whatever the season, there are plenty of beautiful local walks to choose from.
