Garretstown is a sandy beach located a short walk from the larger Garrylucas beach that attracts large crowds on sunny days.
Garretstown beach is a very popular with surfers who are often seen in the water from dawn til dusk when the weather conditions are right - which they often are.
You can learn to surf here too if you fancy your chances and there are usually a plethora of coffee pods and food trailers nearby too.
There's usually plenty of parking and there are public toilets.
