Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Danny O'Leary is a 24 year old singer-songwriter and pop/folk/country artist from Cork. He plays Country, Irish, Classic Hits, Ballads and Pop songs at his cover gigs both as a solo musician and also with his mother, Mary.

Danny released a 5 track Country & Irish C.D titled "My Choice" for charity aged 9. The proceeds of this CD purchased toys and hospital equipment for the 3 main children's hospitals in Cork & Kerry. The remainder of the proceeds sent a sick boy to Lourdes.

Aged 15, Danny released his second 5 track country C.D "Someone From Home" which was warmly received by D.J.'s and listeners alike, which quickly launched him onto the live Country & Irish music scene. He released a 14 track album "Just The Beginning" aged 17 with his mother Mary, and received the Best Newcomer of the Year award at the Irish Country Music Radio awards in 2014. Danny graduated from the CIT Cork School of Music in 2018 with a first class honours.

Danny continues his country career whilst beginning to launch a solo career with his original material. He has supported the likes of Freddie White, Francie Conway, Nathan Carter, Mike Denver, Lisa McHugh, Jimmy Buckley, Michael English, Susan McCann and a host of other country stars. He has also performed the national anthem before a Republic of Ireland soccer match and also has appeared on Sky T.V.

He is currently recording an E.P. of his original songs to be released shortly. His music has been inspired by Declan O'Rourke, Damien Dempsey, Johnny Cash and John Mayer along with a career in Country & Irish music, giving him a modern pop/folk sound, but with a hint of his country roots helping to carve his own original sound.

Danny recently supported The Furey’s with his very own band (for the first time) and hopes to play more concerts and gigs with his band in the coming year, while also playing solo gigs and with his mother, Mary.
