The Fógues have announced a headline show at Cyprus Avenue for St Patrick's Day 2024!

It’s expected to be a fantastic night of entertainment with the ballad group, who will bring their unique show full of song, dance, and a few surprises along the way.

2023 has been a very busy year for The Fógues, who have been enjoying the recent folk-revival on the Irish music scene. While the four lads have been performing together since 2017, the last year in particular has seen a huge upturn in their fortunes. The group did their usual jaunt around Irish festivals with tents heaving with the crowds who had come to hear the “Long Nights in Pokey Places” singers belt out their usual rousing set. With three successful Indiependence performances under their belt, nobody could question their standing locally. However, it is their exploits further afield that have set this year apart for The Fógues.

In March last year, The Fógues made their first trip overseas, selling out three different venues in England. This gave the group a real taste for the international audience, and they were invited to play at a large festival in Germany on the same weekend as Indiependence. The Fógues duly obliged, delivering a 2-hour set on Saturday night in a German cave before heading home to INDIE on Sunday.

Perhaps the crown jewel of the year for this Mitchelstown band came when they were invited to play at Electric Picnic. At Ireland’s largest festival, The Fógues drew a few hundred people well off the beaten track to the Hazelwood Stage; a picturesque setting shaded by a canopy of trees and a perfect way to round off a sweltering hot weekend in Stradbally.

Their latest single and music video, “Mountain Dew”, has amassed nearly 50,000 streams across YouTube, Spotify and Facebook, and there is more new material on the way.
