The Cork Academy of Music is a Music and Arts Centre located in the North Monastery Campus, Cork City. Since its inception in 1994, it has used music as a tool for social inclusion by providing access to music education to those who might not otherwise be able to get it.
To date they have had over 2000 students study music to a qualification standard and have seen many of those progress on to further education and work in the music industry in Ireland and abroad. There are 70+ adult students in full and part-time training daily and 500+ children in training around the city as part of their outreach programme in partnership with Music Generation Cork City.
Every Christmas Cork Academy of Music put on a big concert, showcasing the immense talent and hard work the students have put in all year.
Expect a high energy evening of rock, pop and great folk classics. Tickets are only 5 euro and there will be a raffle with lots of great prizes to be won on the night.
