Brouhaha presents Molly O’Mahony and Laura Elizabeth Hughes in the cosy and intimate setting of Rebel Reads bookshop.

Molly’s power lies in her ability to feel deeply and to convey that feeling through her words and her voice. Her critically acclaimed debut album ‘The House Of David’, released in November 2022, was the product of the covid lockdown, which she passed in her homeplace of Ballydehob, West Cork. She released four singles from the record in the year leading up to the album release - Remember To Be Brave, Brother Blue, Her Song and Bittersweet- samplings which reflect the broad span of influences in her songwriting, her verbal virtuosity and her ability to convey pure feeling. An extended version of the album is due for release before the end of this year, which will include an album track recorded with the RTE Concert Orchestra.

Dublin Singer Songwriter Laura Elizabeth Hughes has been sharing her take on life, love and all the vulnerable in-betweens on intimate stages across Ireland, England and the U.S for a good many years. Known for her quiet way with words and arresting vocals, her self-recorded 2021 EP “We, Myself, I” was touted as ‘an extraordinary offering of heart’ and her ‘finest work to date’. LEH has a body of work ready and waiting in the wings for release in 2024, having spent the last year honing it as her most honest release to date.
