Contemporary Irish instrumental band NOTIFY and sean-nós sensations Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta join forces for a four-date collaboration of concerts in Ireland, including Triskel Arts Centre, Cork. Throughout the show Séamus & Caoimhe’s intoxicating vocals take on different auras interchanging based upon the musical landscapes created by NOTIFY. Performing new compositions from NOTIFY’s forthcoming album Airnéan, the concert presents a combination of melody and song which appeals to listeners from all backgrounds.  This collaboration first performed together in January 2023 in Ennis followed by a sell-out headline show as part of the world famous Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Scotland. The energy from these shows and affection shown by the audience encouraged both to continue the collaboration.  About the Artists  NOTIFY are a 6 piece Irish based contemporary instrumental ensemble. The band were formed in 2014 following the success of their debut 2013 album of the same name. The band consists of Pádraig Rynne (Concertina), Tara Breen (Fiddle), Davie Ryan (Drums), Rory McCarthy (Piano & Rhodes), Adam Taylor (Electric Bass) and Hugh Dillon (Acoustic & Electric Guitars).  The band seamlessly fuses a deep knowledge and respect for musical tradition with forward thinking innovation in a tasteful way that connects with audiences worldwide. The formation of musicians with backgrounds in Traditional Irish music, Jazz, Folk and Popular music has naturally established a system of balance that instantly draws listeners to their music.  To date they have released two full length albums and one EP. NOTIFY was released in 2013 and it debuted at No 20 in the iTunes World music charts upon its release. In 2015, NOTIFY signed with world famous American jazz label Ropeadope. The band’s second album, released in 2016, premiered at the No. 1 spot in the iTunes jazz charts and at No. 9 in the mainstream iTunes charts.  Well known for their high-profile collaborations, NOTIFY have invited guests such as Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta, Mark Lettieri & Jason Thomas (4 time Grammy award winners with Snarky Puppy), Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and Kris Drever to perform and tour with them in recent years.  The band delivers an evocative repertoire of original compositions, produced with sensitive electronic overlays and inventive arrangements that are “cinematic in scope” (New York Echo).  At the crossroads of a new movement in Irish music, “NOTIFY breathes new life into their music, with a musical tapestry that ranges from soft melodies to crashing crescendos” (The Irish Times).  With a new album entitled Arineán, due for release in February 2024, and upcoming high profile collaborations with The Irish Concertina Orchestra, Bill Whelan, Cormac McCarthy and the MGCE Concert Orchestra, the band’s star continues to rise and their constant musical evolution puts them at the fore of exploration into Irish music and beyond.  Séamus and Caoimhe Uí Fhlatharta are a brother and sister duo from Connemara on the west coast of Ireland. Born into a village at the heart of the Gaeltacht region, they were fortunate enough to have been immersed in the traditions of Irish music, song and dance from a very young age. Keen vocalists, multi-instrumentalists and dancers, their mother tongue, Gaeilge, is often at the heart of their musical performances and other endeavours.  Caoimhe began playing music and singing at the age of four. Broadening her musical abilities in later years, she developed into a multi-instrumentalist. Developing the sean-nós singing style native to her area, she also began experimenting with other styles and genres. She has received many accolades at numerous music competitions across the country, including County and Provincial titles as well as two All-Ireland titles at the tender age of fourteen. Caoimhe has been privileged to share the stage with renowned performers. She has amassed a vast repertoire of songs, ballads and tunes over the years.  Since the age of sixteen, Séamus has been making waves on stages around the world; performing in Asia, North America and throughout mainland Europe. He has had the privilege of performing with Ireland’s finest performers at prestigious festivals across the globe – most recently as a guest musician on the 25th Anniversary Tour of Riverdance at Radio City Music Hall, NYC. Accumulating a total of twenty-three All Ireland Titles from the age of seven, Séamus has performed alongside the finest ambassadors of Irish Music and has contributed to numerous albums to date.  The duo received great attention for their unique take on a sean-nós song, “Eleanór na Rún”, on TG4’s Fleadh 2020.
