Oceans of Discovery: New Family Marine Experience at Camden Fort Meagher

Oceans of Discovery is brand new visitor attraction in Cork harbour located within the historic Camden Fort Meagher in Crosshaven, about 30 mins from Cork city by car and accessible by suburban bus 220X from the city centre.

Driven by a passion for the sea and a mission to inspire the next generation, Oceansof Discovery is dedicated to spreading marine awareness through exciting, hands-on learning experiences.


Features include an exciting Water Play Table, where visitors can discover Cork Harbour with a fun and hugely engaging water table which is a big favourite with kids.

Learn all about the impacts of marine litter and how to make a different with the metal detector treasure hunt or explore coral reefs, shipwrecks, kelp forests and a range of underwater worlds with the VR Dive Experience.


A marine expert is on hand to introduce visitors to some fascinating marine animals like starfish and hermit crabs and you can also meet some of Ireland' incredible marine species in their native habitats, featuring everything from spider crabs to small sharks.



Whether you're visiting with family, friends, or as part of a group, the 1-hour marine experiences are designed to educate, inspire, and connect you with the marine world in a meaningful way.
