Former FBI criminal profiler Will Graham has been asked back by the bureau to help them with a difficult case. There is a serial killer targeting families and they need his expertise to track him down. Graham, who left the FBI for mental health reasons, accepts and assures his family he will not get too involved. Slowly but surely, however, he finds himself drawn deeper into the case, including having to consult with a former psychiatrist for his insight into the killer's motivations. That man is the person responsible for Graham’s mental breakdown: the now imprisoned and highly dangerous Dr. Hannibal Lecktor.
Underappreciated upon its original release but now rightly regarded as one of the most notable crime thrillers of the eighties, MANHUNTER has been remastered by its director Michael Mann who presents the film in its definitive edition, including adding some extra footage not featured in the initial cinema version.
*The 13:50 screening on Wednesday 7 October will be open captioned (contain descriptive subtitles for deaf/hard of hearing audiences).
