Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

We took the three principles of the French Revolution and mixed them with some Cork principles. Liberty, Equality and....GAA. The Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) is the All-Ireland body which manages traditional Irish sports, hurling and football (and handball). The image is of former Cork hurling goalkeeper Donal Óg Cusack who won three All-Ireland medals with Cork in 1999, 2004 and 2005. The electrical engineer from Cloyne in east Cork, became the first openly gay Irish sportsperson in 2009. The art piece is located directly opposite the bus station on Parnell Place. 'Bienvenue a Cork' = 'Welcome to Cork'
