We offer two walks/talks on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. One beginning at 10am from Bean and Berry Café in Garretstown, P17AK65.

This is a 1.5 hour walk along the shoreline covering Social History, Place-Names, Archaeology & Shipwrecks. It is a linear walk of about 4 km.

The second tour starts at the Old Head Signal Tower & Lusitania Museum, P17T683 at 2pm. This focuses primarily on the Lusitania for the first half of the tour in the Lusitania Memorial Garden.

Then we do a short loop walk to the nearby castle and bird sanctuary and cover topics such as lighthouses and coastal defences as well as logainm, bird and marine life. Plus the many shipwrecks tht foundered on this historic headland. Your guide is Jerome, a former fisherman, author and UCC graduate who will guide you along the way. He is a native of the peninsula.
