MacCurtain Wine Cellar is a family-run independent wine shop that doubles as a wine bar in the evenings. Our wine selection runs the spectrum from fun everyday drinking to a small fine wine collection in the cellar.
Whilst we are mainly a wine shop, we also welcome our customers to join us in the shop on a walk-in basis for a glass or two of our rotating line-up of wines.
Owners Trudy Ahern and Sean Gargano are restaurant industry stalwarts who are thrilled to have finally been able to establish a small business of their own here in Cork's Victorian quarter in April of 2022. Trudy’s career was as a restaurant manager, Sean's as a sommelier, drinks buyer and bar manager.
Paris Dowler is a sommeliere and our front of house whiz with years of restaurant experience. Bryan Rudd is an all things food ex-charcuterie butcher now studying wine.
