Bally Bia is a lively eatery right in the centre of the picturesque village of Ballydehob. Run by Faye Bolger, it's grown into a thriving business, thanks to her dedication and resilience in the face of various challenges.
The restaurant operates out of what used to be the village garage, creatively transformed to make the most of the space, with a canopy providing shelter for customers.
It’s a laid-back spot that offers great food in a warm and energetic setting. There's no need to make a reservation—just drop in. Orders are made at the counter, and everything is served in compostable packaging.
The menu includes the much-loved Bally Bia curries, as well as fish and chips, burgers, and hot dogs. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan choices, and most items can be made gluten-free. If you have specific dietary needs, the team is happy to accommodate.
For younger diners, there’s a Kid’s Meal Box with the option of healthier choices if needed.
Each day brings new specials and desserts, and all beef is Irish and comes from a trusted local butcher. As much of the produce as possible is also locally sourced.
