We are thrilled to have Elizabeth Cope, one of Ireland most prominent contemporary painters, take part in the Banshee Festival. In her powerful artworks the artist deploys a wide personal iconography of lobsters, domestic implements, gardening tools and tennis rackets which often combine to hint at a layer of violence. Living and working in County Kilkenny, she has exhibited internationally for over 50 years. This in-conversation at Bandon Library will be a unique occasion to hear and see Elizabeth, as she paints, in conversation with her husband Geoffrey. This wonderful opportunity is supported by the Crawford Art Gallery outreach programme. Saturday October 31st 1.30 pm Bandon Library FREE Read more Read less
