Somewhere between the pomp of the stage and the quiet of the bedroom, show ponies are a folk-pop trio ready to saddle-up. Formed after a chance reunion at a festival, Mia Kovacs (guitar/banjo/mandolin) Omar Aftab (guitar/banjo) and Eve Casey (violin) are a vocal triple-threat who channel catchiness and cosiness alike. Think CMAT listening to Fleet Foxes. Think Sufjan Stevens with two deranged gal pals. Think Fleetwood Mac without the affairs. The melodies smile. The arrangements hum. And beneath their campfire cheekiness lies a balance of lyrical incisiveness and introspection. Support TBA
