New west Cork Food Festival set to delight this August
The Skibbereen & District Chamber of Commerce, proudly supported by Cork County Council, is delighted to announce that preparations are now complete for the brand-new West Cork Food Festival – Savour the Flavour in Skibbereen which takes place in the Old Mart Yard Car Park in Skibbereen on Sunday 31 August, 10am to 5pm.
With tremendous interest already from both local vendors and the public, excitement is building for what promises to be one of the region’s standout events of the summer.
We are also thrilled to confirm that The Happy Pear will be joining us on the day, bringing their energy, inspiration, and passion for healthy food to the heart of Skibbereen.
The festival will transform the Old Mart Yard into a vibrant showcase of West Cork’s rich and diverse food culture.
Visitors can look forward to a packed day filled with food stalls, cookery demonstrations, tasting experiences, crafts, live music, and family entertainment including face painting, balloon magic, and carousels.
“From field and sea to fork, West Cork has an unrivalled reputation for quality and innovation,” said John O’Driscoll, Chairman of the Skibbereen & District Chamber of Commerce. “We are delighted with the incredible response so far from producers and the public. This event will bring our community together to celebrate the food identity of West Cork and shine a spotlight on the people who make it such a special place.”
Savour the Flavour in Skibbereen is free to attend and open to all. With so much on offer, it promises to be a day of fun, flavour, and celebration for the whole family.
