The Michael Dwyer Festival, Allihies is a traditional music festival commemorating our great local tin whistle and fiddle player Michael Dwyer. We'll be celebrating with music trails, concerts, dance performances and workshops.

There will be many highlights to this year's festival, including the two festival concerts. The Casey Sisters - Máire Ní Chathasaigh, Nollaig Casey and Mairéad Ní Chathasaigh - will play on Saturday 11th of June in the Allihies Copper Mine Museum and Matt Cranitch and Jackie Daly will play on Sunday 12th of June in the Allihies Coppermines Lodge

Come and join in the singing session with the Cork singers and take part in the workshops in, tin whistle, fiddle or singing. Some of the other artists contributing to this years festival are: Eileen O’Driscoll & friends; Brian Hughes & Dave Sheridan; Hammy & The Spailpín Céilí band; Tom & Caroline Delany; Seán Wholihan & Richard Tisdall; Cork Singers Club; Richard Dwyer, Richard Lucey & Jim Murray; Céilí Allstars - Lisa O’Sullivan, Mike (Tosh) O’Sullivan, Flor Rahilly & Karl Nesbitt; Tim Riordan & Ger Murphy (Natural Gas); Seán Garvey & Richard Dwyer.
