Official tourism website for Cork, Ireland

Kanturk, a small market town, in the ancient Barony of Duhallow, plays host to a burgeoning Arts Festival that has grown enormously since its beginning in March 2009.

Determined and focused on nurturing and supporting the arts throughout the area, new events are added every year and this coming year is no exception. Last year saw the inaugural Flash Fiction Competition and entries came from all over Ireland, Britain, USA and Europe.

Kanturk Arts Festival runs this year, 2020, from Friday March 13th to Tuesday March 17th.

The festival starts with the official opening of the Invited Artists exhibition by author/journalist Breda Joy on Friday 13th at 7.30 pm at Toyota Showrooms in Earl Street and during the weekend there will be drama, art, poetry and music for all ages. There will also be a number of workshops including one on crime writing by Cork based Kevin Doyle, a crochet workshop and a number of art workshops. For bookings and details, see website kanturkarts.ie.

Kanturk Arts Festival is supported by Cork County Council and Kanturk Credit Union.
