Don't miss the Skibbereen Walking Festival coming up this September (27th to 29th). Now in it's 8th year, Skibbereen Walking Festival Weekend offers a total of 7 guided walks through quiet country roads with some off-road sections, something for walkers of all abilities. The meeting point for all walks is Skibbereen Heritage Centre with bus transport provided to and from out-of-town walks. The cost per walk is €15 including the bus, except for walk 3 to Heir and Sherkin Islands which is €30 (including the ferry) and Walk 7, a historical stroll through Skibbereen, which is free of charge. All walks include tea/coffee/refreshments. Please note that pre-registering is essential. No unaccompanied children and no dogs allowed on the walks.
