Word's by Water, now in its third year is a cultural feast of Irish and international writers, from the famous to the newly published, covering the novel, short story, a poetry trail, non-fiction talks on travel and sports writing, graphic novels and comic writing, story telling, interactive fiction and more. The 2019 festival will include established writers like Donal Ryan, the hugely popular Chinese novelist Yan Ge and A List English poet Christopher Reid.
It will feature two writing competitions, six writing workshops, two or three panel discussions, a host of readings, a fair of exhibiting graphic novelists and comic artists, music sessions and more, all set in the back streets and quirky venues of old Kinsale.
