First Cut! Youth Film Festival returns to Youghal with a vibrant in-person programme showcasing Ireland’s brightest young filmmakers.

First Cut! Youth Film Festival returns to its home in Youghal, Co. Cork for its 13th edition in 2022, running from 9-12 March both in-person, and online with the support of our digital partners Cork International Film Festival. The four-day programme, coming to you live from the Mall Arts Centre and the Regal Cinema, is packed with imaginative, thought-provoking and engaging events for young filmmakers aged 12-24yrs.

This year’s captivating schedule features; Open Call Short Film screenings in a variety of genres, an animation programme including shorts made by local young people, a classic feature, a whole range of workshops, Special Guests, Panel Discussions and more to be discovered.

First Cut! Youth Film Festival 2022 is a must visit for young and emerging filmmakers and film audiences alike.
